Galaxy S2 Best Rom

Best Rom For The Galaxy S2

Hello there, many of you should know by know that the Galaxy S3 is already available in the market. However most of the Galaxy S2 users feel that it might not be worth the upgrade. Here is why:

Why the Galaxy S III is better

  • Bigger, 720p screen
  • Not slimmer, but the thickness is much more uniform
  • Quad-core processor, faster graphics
  • S Beam, S Voice, Smart stay, smart alarm, 50GB Dropbox and so on
  • Better battery backup
  • Snapping photos while recording FullHD video
  • GLONASS support
  • Bluetooth 4.0 LE
  • 64GB storage option (comes with a price premium)

Why the Galaxy S II is still good enough

  • Cheaper to buy new, plenty of second-hand deals too
  • Smaller, lighter device
  • SuperAMOLED Plus screen (has a full set of subpixels)
  • Equally good camera with 8MP stills, 1080p video
  • Same amount of RAM - 1GB
  • Regular SIM slot
With that, many people think that the Galaxy S2 is still good
enough. I am a proud owner of a Galaxy S2 and I would like to share the custom ROM that I used on this device. (ROM is "built-in" computer memory containing data that normally can only be read, not written to. ROM contains the programming that allows your computer to be "booted up" or regenerated each time you turn it on. Unlike a computer's random access memory (RAM), the data in ROM is not lost when the computer power is turned off.)

Resurection Remix (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1436854)

It is an Ice Cream Sandwich AOKP ROM, now many of you might have heard or seen AOKP and AOSP but wonder what is the difference.

AOSP = Android Open Source Project -> Google leaded project for Android -> http://source.android.com/faqs.html#...bility-program

AOKP = Android Open Kang Project -> commonly used custom ROM (ICS Android 4.x) based on AOSP

I have been using this AOKP ROM since its beta stages and I can guarantee that this is the best ICS ROM in the Internet. With great support from other developers, many themes are produced and bugs are squash for this ROM. Every release is confirmed to make you to hold onto your seats as the improvements/ new features are great every release and never failed to make me love my S2 even more. (Some Jelly Bean Apps are already in this ROM)

With Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Source Code just being released, I am sure the developer will produce something unique from his experience. Summing up, I hope that if you own an S2, give it a try and tell me how it is.
